This will be Peter’s 2nd visit to the society. His wide range of subject matter has been taken over a 40 year period.

This is a first time visitor. Deborah was scheduled to come last year but a minor operation meant postponement to now, so we no doubt will enjoy her talk all the more.

Clive and Martin are no strangers to Kingswood. We are always delighted to see their hugely creative work on a large easel, looks rather like a big clothes horse, but beautifully decorated.

Getting the ‘F’ in FRPS
Another First time visitor, Mac is new to the Federation area and comes from Teignmouth in Devon, He will present an illustrated talk on his sometimes turbulent journey from an ARPS (in pictorial slides) to a visual art FRPS in monochrome prints.

We have another first time visitor, Peter is a member of Bristol Photographic Society and the Crown Monochrome Group. Peter will show us darkroom prints from his travels around Europe and North Africa, with new experiences in colour.

Tues 9 VISIT TO WARMINSTER CAMERA CLUB
If you remember in May 2008 members of the Warminster club came to us with their pictures, now it is our turn to show them our work. Let the Chairman know, at least a week before, how many of you will be going to Warminster.

Our Competition Secretary will remind you nearer the date what is required. Judging will be by audience votes.

This is Brian’s second visit and he will show us conventional and digital fiddling and diddling. A miscellany of creative, travel and portrait photography, promises to be an evening full of hints for all members, especially those new to digital.

Our first time visitors tonight, Paul & Bob are two long time friends. These retired professional photographers, will show a selection of their personal images (prints) based mainly on a landscape theme, and possibly digital projection.

David tells me that there is always something on the boil. Lord knows what by June, but it will be interesting. David is a member of the Crown Monochrome Group.

An Evening with John and Sheila
John and Sheila will be up from Exmouth to show us a variety of AV’s covering every aspect of photography. They have won many AV competitions so this should be an evening not to miss.

Deep Blue to Far Red
Mel will be showing us infrared photography using converted digital cameras to produce unusual and thought provoking images. Antonia will be underwater showing a personal journey of how to capture colourful images from a world that few get to see first hand - promises to be a most interesting evening of photography, be sure not to miss it!

Journey South to the Falkland Islands
The Falklands are wild and remote, but rich in wildlife. This talk features the birds and mammals that inhabit the islands and shows the wild habitat. Clive has been here many times before so we know what to expect, wildlife photography at its best.

In search of steam
Malcolm was with us previously, showing us his slides taken from a stepladder. Tonight he is still working in medium format slides at home and abroad, demonstrating the techniques of railway photography. A night not to be missed for the master of beautiful railway pictures, and you don’t have to be a railway buff to enjoy it.

Yet another first time visitor, this time from Great Missenden. Steve will show us his past and current work, including his Fellowship panel, images from Cuba and London mostly in black and white, plus some colour. From what I have heard we are in for a most exciting evening of brilliant photography. Don’t miss it!

Bob and Linda are from Honiton. They are first time visitors to the Society and will be showing individual prints, print panels and an AV following the paths and travels of their photography. Having seen their work at the Sunday Group meetings, I can assure you we will be in for a photographic treat this evening, be there!
